Some might argue that it’s kind of contrary to the entire spirit of the Olympics to make a best and worst dressed list of the athletes at the opening ceremony. To them we say: hogwash! The Olympics are all about friendly competition, and we are just following suit. We like to think of it as giving out fashion medals. Somebody’s gotta win, and somebody’s gotta lose—but hey, really they’re all winners because it’s not like we will ever participate in the Olympic games, unless they introduce accessory coordination as a competitive sport.
And so we present, in no particular order, our list of best and worst dressed athletes from the opening ceremony. Here’s a preview: Great Britain did not make the best-dressed list. Eek.
